Our favorite pickups of 2017

It’s almost 2017, and for us that means it’s time to start thinking about upgrading to a 2017 pickup — or least test driving a few.

When it comes to highlighting the best pickup options for the new year, we don’t discriminate. We’re equal opportunity truck people — though we’re Chevy fans at heart.

Let’s take a look at a handful or our favorite new models out there for 2017:

Ford F-150 Raptor
Why we like it: What sets the Raptor apart from similar models is its super strength suspension and ground clearance that make it awesome for odd-road performance.

Dodge Ram 1500 SRT Hellcat
Why we like it: The Hellcat’s scooped hood makes its engine more efficient while providing a different look.

Mitsubishi Triton
Why we like it: The Triton has a sleek body, but thanks to its 178 horsepower engine it can accelerate to 60 mph in less than 10 seconds and reach a top speed of 115 mph.

Ford F-750
Why we like it: The F-750’s diesel engine is more fuel efficient and less noisy than previous versions of the pickup.

Hyundai Santa Cruz
Why we like it: Ideal for off-road truckin’ the Santa Cruz’s 21-inch tires have enhanced suspension that even out bumps on the driving surface.

Chevy Silverado 1500
Why we like it: A huge color touchscreen makes it much easier to put to use the Silverado’s 397 horsepower, V8 engine and 8-speed auto transmission.

Tesla Pickup
Why we like it: No gas required. We’re all about the environment here at Truck Stuff.

Chevy Colorado
Why we like it: The Colorado is an affordable diesel pickup option for those who want a great truck but are working within a budget. (Aren’t we all.)

Jeep Scrambler
Why we like it: The Scrambler looks like something you would have found on the road in 1970s or 80s. It’s a cross between a jeep and a pickup, and we love it.

Ram 1500 Rebel
Why we like it: The Rebel is equipped with many new features, including remote start, rearview camera and rear park assist. Safety first!

Happy truck buying in 2017 y’all!
